Advancing a National Vision for Safer Communities

Under Felix’s leadership, the Canadian Centre for Safer Communities (CCFSC) grew from an emerging initiative into one of Canada’s most recognized organizations in the community safety and well-being field.

By fostering strategic partnerships across government, academia, and the private sector, Felix positioned CCFSC as a trusted national voice on equity-driven prevention and systems approaches. His collaborative leadership brought together stakeholders from across the country to build safer, more inclusive communities.

Felix also guided CCFSC to secure and manage multi-million-dollar grants from Public Safety Canada and other funders, supporting projects that advanced equity, prevented extremist violence, and strengthened local safety planning. To ensure long-term sustainability, he established a first-of-its-kind partnership with a for-profit organization, aligning corporate social responsibility goals with public impact.

Today, CCFSC stands as a national hub for collaboration and innovation, demonstrating how strategic partnerships and equity-based leadership can drive enduring community change.
